Winter is 'Snow' Much Fun!

We have been so excited to enjoy the snowy hills of our playground this past week!  Students love 'sledding' down these hills with one another and just burning off energy.  We are so thankful for the warmer temperatures that are allowing us to enjoy this fun winter activity!

 

Junie B. Jones Musical

The Junie B. Jones Musical was a hysterical hit this morning!  The Wellman Elementary students were great audience members as they laughed their way through the hilarious tendencies of Junie B.  Many thanks to the company of Wal-Mart and our PTO that allowed our entire school to enjoy such a spectacular show!  Ask your little one about his/her favorite part!!

Herbert Hoover Museum Visit!

Today the first grade classes traveled to West Branch to enjoy the Herbert Hoover museum's annual holiday display highlighting Christmas trees from the works of William Shakespeare.  The students were able to view ornately decorated trees based upon the plays of Shakespeare, enjoy a Christmas cartoon and listen to holiday stories about the Laura Ingalls Wilder family. Thanks to the staff and volunteers of the museum for hosting our busy bunch today!

Grandparent's Day
